Congratulations to sophomore, Jaryn Pruitt, the new State Golf Champion in Mens 4A golf.  Pruitt took the championship with a 5 stroke win.  The first day he shot even par at 72, but the second day he ran away with the win by shooting a 69 – 3 under par for a total of 141.  The golf course at Marble Falls – Horseshoe Bay was no match for the young golfer.  The exciting end had to wait as the last team was on the 18th hole a lightening delay was called.  But an hour and 20 minutes later the State Champ was presented with his medal.

Pruitt has been the reigning district champ for the last two years, but this year is his first time to go to state, and to win it all is quite an accomplishment.  The Lions Golf team is coached by Mark Wilson.  When asked about the final results Wilson was quick to say “We are headed home as Champions!”  Congratulations to all the golfers that had a great year this year and we look forward to great things in the future.
